Josephine Barthelmess Geraty, 90, died December 14, 20090 at her residence. The lifelong native of Savannah was the daughter of the late William A. and Pearla Hennessy Barthelmess. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a homemaker. Her husband, Thomas H. Geraty and daughter, Kathleen C. Trahan preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann G. and Michael Coburn; Josephine G. and Freddie King all of Savannah; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy H. and Pan Geraty of Atlanta, GA; sister, Mary Lakewood of Bluffton, SC; grandchildren, Ann Marie Miller of Savannah; Patrick Trahan and his wife, Nicole of Jacksonville, FL; Sean M. Coburn and his wife, Michelle of Savannah; Erin J. Coburn of Savannah; and four great grandchildren.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m., to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Burial: Catholic Cemetery.
